Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on July 8, 1989 in Paris. They was moved to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five years old and attended at the Dragon School. Emma had a dream to become a professional actor from the age of aged six. She studied at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting school with part-time courses. When she was 10, Emma had taken part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and plays. Casting began in 1999 to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Casting agents found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight consistent auditions producer David Heyman told Emma and other applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast to play the three main characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's film debut coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It was the highest-grossing film of 2001, the film set records for its debut day revenue as well as its opening weekend earnings. The film was praised by critics and the performances of the three young stars. The Daily Telegraph, an important British newspaper, called Emma's acting "amazing". Emma received five nominations for her outstanding performance. Then, she was awarded the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress in a Film.
