Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to traditional music, boleros from the past as well as traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera and all forms of dramatic performance. Her mother taught her to sing, and she began singing under Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when his name was known as a famous Mexican opera tenor. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico furthered her education in music. The singer performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a college student as well as a professional. She was part of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the south of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with the traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Passion and enthusiasm for arts, music and performing keep her engaged in a myriad of local activities as a teacher and performer. Ana is also a previous participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for having the chance to share her passion and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire, especially among younger generations in order to keep this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
